Toques et Porcelaine (“Chefs and Porcelain”), art of the table and gastronomic art in Limoges

What could be more logical than for a city known for its exquisite porcelain to bring together and to promote all the arts of the table, receptacles and content alike. In Limoges, Toques et Porcelaine brings together all the leading porcelain manufacturers and chefs from France and Europe for a gastronomic celebration from 20 to 22 September.

Porcelaine de Limoges

This year will be the 8th edition of this gourmet event. Through demonstrations, workshops, conferences, activities and exhibitions, the event celebrates the know-how of the capital of Limousin, a UNESCO Creative City, and of those who use it!

First and foremost, that of porcelain manufacturers, who you will be able to meet and whose work you will, of course, be able to admire. At the Adrien Dubouché National Museum, the manufactures and studios participating in Toques & Porcelaine will invite visitors to discover their finest dinnerware, presented on a table as if awaiting a feast!

That of local producers, whose produce you may sample at “La Halle des saveurs et des savoir-faire” (The Hall of Flavours and Know-How). With the Agence de l’Alimentation Nouvelle-Aquitaine (Regional Food Authority), enjoy “culinary battles” (prepare a dish using a product imposed in an allotted time) as well as demonstrations to enhance your knowledge of regional products.

And, last but not least, that of head chefs, local restaurateurs, from the finest establishments of France and Europe. Come along and join in their workshops, a total immersion of 45 minutes in the kitchens of a top chef who will unveil their recipes, their tips & tricks, will answer all your questions and will invite you to enjoy a hands-on experience. A one-of-a-kind, exclusive moment to delight in.

All the above is but a small glimpse of the programme… continue to make your mouth water via the website before coming along and sitting down at the table for the “gastronomic meal of the French”, listed by UNESCO as Intangible Heritage of Humanity since 2010!
