They may indicate a high-quality destination, rate an accommodation provider, or evidence the commitment of a particular area… There are several different types of tourism labelling scheme. Although they differ in detail, all are intended to improve the quality of the visitor experience. They can also make it easier to choose the right type of holiday for you.

This section is designed to give you more information about the main tourism labelling schemes used in Nouvelle-Aquitaine.

In Nouvelle-Aquitaine, must-visit villages include Coulon and Arçais in the Poitevin Marshes, Melle and Charroux in Poitou for their Romanesque art, Bénevent-l’Abbaye and Treignac in the Limousin and Brantôme in Perigord Vert.
