Festival ludique International de Parthenay

34th edition of FLIP, Festival Ludique International de Parthenay, game on, let’s play!

The FLIP is a town bubbling over with games and toys for 12 days, free admission for all the family, over 4,000 games available to try out and expert advice from some 400 games’ hosts every day. “Little Carcassonne of the West”, Parthenay invites you to kick off your holidays in a one-of-a-kind, fun-filled way!

Parthenay, located 53 km west of Poitiers, between the Puy du Fou and the Futuroscope, is ready and waiting to entertain you during the sunny days of summer and will make sure you’ll laugh, tremble, quiver, scream and shout with joy as you share with over 170,000 visitors the delight of playing, gaming and having fun.
Newcomers or enthusiasts, young and old alike – not just from 7 to 77 but from 0-3 months’ old to silver-market seniors, the world’s greatest games festival throws open its doors to you. Since 1986, the programme has been getting constantly richer and has more than one trick in its hat (gamer’s hat) to enthral you!

Pretty impossible to list everything that’s waiting for you, as every year there’s a host of surprises in store, but the main themes are here: villages overflowing with board games, creators’ games, kids’ games, traditional and popular games, circus games, simulation and card games, multimedia games, medieval games, sports games, environmental games, to name but a few
From dawn to dusk, alone, with family or friends, at a gaming point or during a tournament, via an invitation from a roaming games’ host at a café terrace or on an oversized game board, attending a conference, visiting an exhibition or a movie screening, watching a fanfare or street performances: a single golden rule, have fun!

So, ready to start the game?!
