35th Festival des Francophonies in the Limousin

The Festival des Francophonies showcases a broad spectrum of international creativity from the French-speaking world.

Highlights will include

Tamil cinema meets classical theatre with Valavane Koumarane and his company of actors, musicians, acrobats, dancers and puppeteers from the Indianostrum Theatre in Pondicherry, in a tribute to Romeo and Juliet transposed to India.

Choreographer Salia Sanou invites author Nancy Huston and dancer Germaine Acogny onto the stage in Multiple-s (a stage performance and digital story).

The National Theatre of Martinique presents scripts performed in Creole, as well as literature that discusses poetry and politics, and interactive photographic installations.

Focus Quebec features powerful female figures, including Nelly Arcand, Évelyne de la Chenelière, Marie Brassard, Sarah Berthiaume and Nini Bélanger, who will share the stage with Mark Lawes, Martin Faucher, Pascal Brullemans, Gabriel Arcand, and others.

Whether talented newcomers or leading figures of international creativity, these authors, artists and explorers of our democracies will maintain this living and brilliant dialogue for all 11 days of the event, so be prepared for plenty of surprises!
