Exposition au fil des toiles Limoges

Don’t miss out on the “Au fil des toiles” exhibition at the Limoges Fine Arts Museum!

The “Au fil des toiles” exhibition is currently on-show at the Limoges Fine Arts Museum, in the City’s old historic district, close to the cathedral. An opportunity to discover this remarkable museum now established in the former Episcopal Palace (18th century) and which hosts incredible treasures.

"Au fil des toiles" an exhibition not to be missed this summer!

The original works featured in this exhibition, produced by young contemporary artists, showcase how fabric is represented in painting. Now it’s your turn to play!

Your job is to find the works of art exhibited amongst all the Museum’s pieces throughout the exhibition rooms. A sort of treasure hunt full of surprises where the artworks trigger artistic contemplation when you discover them… highly-unusual works presented in parallel to the Museum’s more classical works… a “magical” experience to enjoy!
Incidentally, you can touch’n’feel samples of fabrics presented throughout the exhibition journey: linen, hemp, hessian, as well as ribbons, lace, mesh, embroidery… an experience sure to spark all your senses!

Discover the 17 never-seen-before works created by 10 contemporary artists from the French scene, including Lucile Kessil, Marc Molk, François Mendras and the duo Ida Tursic and Wilfried Mille (nominated for the prestigious Marcel Duchamp Award), from the European scene with Belgian artist Charlotte Beaudry, the Spanish artists Ronda Bautista and Federico Miro and, last but not least, two other French artists Romain Larbre and Pierre Charles Jacquemin.

“Au fil des toiles”, a must-not-miss exhibition this summer!
