It all began during the 1999 storm when residents of the Plateau de Millevaches met up in a village hall to share a meal... someone pulled out a guitar and the evening lasted on through the night. This pleasure of being together sparked the idea of "Winter Bistros" : meals followed by a concert in the region's inns on winter Sundays.
Thus, for the last 20 and some years, every Sunday from January to March, southern Creuse and several nearby towns have been jamming to the sound of the musical talents selected by Pays’Sage, the association behind this great initiative. It refers to these delightful moments as "The cherry on the Plateau", (the Millevaches plateau, of course!)
