Always the big stars of the classical scene

The great names in classical music will be on the bill: Arcadi Volodos, one of the greatest international pianists, the very talented Japanese violinist Sayaka Shoji (who, with pianist François Dumont, will offer a programme in connection with Marc Chagall) , the cello prodigy Edgar Moreau who will celebrate the year of the composer Camille Saint-Saëns

You will also be able to attend new features for this 40th edition: a hike combining music and heritage around the Château de Comborn, a show combining piano and theater in which Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt will unveil his strange initiation to the music of Chopin embellished with pieces on the piano famous or rarer of Chopin by Nicolas Stavy.

Great discoveries

The young Corrézian mezzo-soprano Virginie Verrez, the Quatet Arod who begins a superb career ...

For a change of scenery, the cathedral of Tulle will host the Marani Ensemble and the Sartène Men's Choir for an intense dialogue between Georgian and Corsican polyphonies. The Objat music kiosk will laugh and vibrate with the "tales of Teranga" : Souleymane Mbodj will transport young and old to Senegal in its universe populated by musical animals and magical baobabs!

And always there

The New Aquitaine Chamber Orchestra and the National Orchestra of Auvergne.

Another local ensemble, the “La Tempête” Company with which the Festival is very happy to start a collaboration and which will invite you on a journey that is both sensory, spiritual and emotional.

The 40th Festival de la Vézère will end outdoors at the Château du Saillant with a festive concert by the Ensemble Sirba which will transport you to the Yiddish and Gypsy universe, a breeding ground for living and virtuoso popular music.

Accustomed to the Festival since 1998, the English troupe Diva Opera will also be there for the ritual and eagerly awaited “Opera Weekend” .

Mozart with his famous "Don Giovanni" and Bizet with his fiery gypsy "Carmen" will be in the spotlight.
