Lovers of magnificent music, this festival is for you: on the agenda… eight concerts worthy of the most prestigious venues, with soloists of the highest level. You’ll be enchanted by works from the major classical and romantic repertoire, mixed with works by a resident-composer on-site.
Fans of chamber music, this festival is also a must for you, in particular with its “OFF” which, from 10am in the morning and through to the evening, takes over various places in this delightful thermal town. It invites you to enjoy some 60 concerts performed by young musicians, up-and-coming talents as well as excellent amateur musicians.
A blend of Beethoven, Mozart, Brahms and Schubert, so why ever Monsieur Haydn? Because every day one of his works will be performed. For Jérôme Pernoo, festival creator and Artistic Director, this composer’s music represents “the very essence of classical writing, stripped bare of any pretentiousness, personal feelings, yet bursting with life, discursive, theatrical, inventive…”.
Happy festival-goers will take time out at the “Haydn Café”, on the village’s main square. A convivial moment to sip on a drink, share and chat together and with the musicians.
