Her art celebrates happiness and optimism, perceived through this exhibition of objects, installations, sounds… geared to paying intense attention to others and, as such, has the ability to become an integral part of a participative approach. The exhibition brings together more than 400 works spanning over 50 years of career beginning with her first pieces focusing on the game concept (in particular chess) through to her most recent clothing designs.

At the CAPC, the chessboards fashioned by Takako Saito are centre staged throughout the museum spaces and, at the same time, their photographic reproductions are displayed on the railings of the public park, images conjuring up this universal language which the artist uses to create her credo:
"May everyone take part” OLD and YOUNG alike".
