All the movers and shakers of comic strip art are in town to make this an exceptional event with a packed programme of exhibitions, meetings, shows, conferences, exclusive sales of collectors’ items and - of course - the hugely popular signing sessions!

This year's festival will feature an exhibition devoted to Jean Harambat, who won the 2018 Prix Goscinny and comes from the Landes department of Nouvelle Aquitaine.

In addition to his comic books, this uniquely creative author also writes reports and articles for newspapers and magazines. So don’t miss out on this opportunity to meet a unique talent whose work combines myth and history with adventure, literature and autobiography.

Also not to be missed are the exhibitions : 80-year-old of Batman, Richard Corben, Milo Manara, Tom-Tom and Nana, and manga author Taiyo Matsumoto.

Not to be missed:

Drawn to music! These events bring music and drawing together. Live the unique experience of live concerts illustrated simultaneously by famous-name artists.
It’s an experience like no other: part voyage, part discovery, and many surprises along the way.

And there are, of course, the regular annual events: the Best Comic Book Award, the René Goscinny Award, the Young Talent award, the Audience award, the Thriller award and the Alternative Comic Strip award. Come and see all the latest creative work and meet your favourite authors. You’re in for some great surprises!

The festival is all over the city! So don’t miss out on this opportunity to walk the cobbled streets of old Angoulême to view the mural art that also celebrates comic strip art!
