A smart move… to help you discover Vienne, what could be better than 13 free gigs, performed all over the department during the warm, balmy nights of July? So, head down to Loudun, Lencoître, Dangé-Saint-Romain, Maisonneuve-Massognes, … and, if you don’t know where these places are, you soon will!
On the agenda for this 16th edition, French and Francophone musical talents, pop, electro, rock and reggae. The Heures Vagabondes Festival invites a string of well-known performers (Marc Lavoine, Eagle Eye Cherry, Jérémy Frérot, Cœur de Pirate, Inspecteur Cluzo, Alpha Blondy), as well as young talents (Jive me, Stuck in the sound), and hosts a “local stage” where two locally-based bands perform (Jekyll Wood and Colours in the Street).
And, while we’re on the subject of regional treasures, it’s worth mentioning that the catering and refreshment stands proposed on the site centre stage premium-quality, local products. Beers, homemade French fries, sausages and spicy merguez sausages: an invitation to consume local, Made in Poitou!
