Every year, mid-January
During this weekend-long event created by the Groupement des Producteurs de Truffes du Périgord Noir and the city of Sarlat, you may participate in various activities on the theme of this emblematic mushroom.
A number of workshops are open to the general public to reveal all the subtleties of the truffle, such as workshops on truffle identification and aroma or informed truffle purchasing.
A large truffle market will be held over the weekend, featuring an abundance of fresh truffles as well as derived products and related items (such as books and live truffle oaks).
Truffle-hunting demonstrations with trained dogs will take place twice a day in the trufflery to be set up on Place du Peyrou (the cathedral square).

During the Pentecost weekend (Saturday and Whit Sunday), 50 wineries will open from 10 am to 7 pm.
The wineries will welcome you to taste red, dry or sweet wine. There are entertainement organised (lunch, food trucks, car rallye, tours) available on the website and the brochure.

At each stage of your visit, you'll discover a winegrower through visits, tastings, workshops and events. He'll tell you all about his history, his know-how and the secrets of his wines, whether red, white, dry or sweet.
Last but not least, children will be able to discover the vineyards thanks to the many activities on offer throughout the weekend, including treasure hunts and pony trekking.

The Flow des Gabarriers is an open-water swimming event on the Charente River in Cognac. It is the longest non-stop open water marathon (33kms) in France, sponsored this year by Amy Ennion.
The longest non-stop open water marathon in France passes through 12 villages in the Charente region. You'll be captivated by the beauty of the river and the way you see the landscape from the water's edge. The succession of stone bridges, the transparent water bottom, the natural beauty of the banks of the Charente. Unlike open water in a marine environment, you won't have to suffer the friction of salt, waves or opposing currents, or the burns of gelatinous marine life...

The young Côtes de Bourg wine growers organise a musical and tasting time during a night market in a huge parc close to the river.
Until 2:00 am, taste our French cuisine cooked by young farmer: oysters, meet, vegetable, enjoy it for low prices and a musical animation is planned throughout the evening.
