Yves bay and Marsh National Nature Reserve

The Yves Marsh Nature Reserve is a site where it is particularly easy to approach nature.

Guided tours are offered all year round to discover birds, plants, insects and landscapes of rare beauty.
Muddy foreshore, dry dunes and pannes, marshes and reedbeds, wet meadows, tamarisk hedges, copses and thickets... A beautiful mosaic of environments has been created. On this small corner of the coast, it is home to a multitude of animal and plant species, some of which are very rare.

This area was still underwater in Roman times. Clayey sediments, dune strips and pebbles cut it off from the ocean for good around the year 1000.

Man was quick to exploit the sand. This led to the creation of ditches and depressions. The water table, which has since come to the surface, has created freshwater areas that complement the brackish lagoon, which is sometimes still flooded by storms.

La Cabane de Moins

Located north of Rochefort, the Cabane de Moins is made up of a mosaic of environments over 150 hectares. This wetland, far from any noise pollution, is a migratory stopover, a reproduction and feeding area for a multitude of species.
Located in Breuil-Magné, north of Rochefort sur Mer, the Cabane de Moins site was created in 1988 thanks to the will of the Charente-Maritime Departmental Hunting Federation (FDC 17).

This nature reserve, which covers more than 150 hectares, is home to exceptional biodiversity.

This Nature Escape has water bodies and wet meadows that are a delight for wetland wildlife: many species of shelducks and ducks can be seen here, and even the great egret or the discreet otter!

Observatories line the interpretation trail. Thanks to them, you can discreetly immerse yourself in the life of the nature reserve.

You can take part in guided tours, workshops, games, observe the fauna and flora during field trips, discover exhibitions, shows...

Our objective: to be as close as possible to nature, guided by men and women who will pass on their knowledge and know-how.
