This small beach is part of a 30-hectare site of the same name, classified as a Sensitive Natural Area, which is home to a preserved animal and plant biodiversity.
Chef de Baie is one of La Rochelle's 3 beaches, to the northwest, towards La Pallice and Port de Pêche.
Adorned with a large green space, it's also the starting point for a stroll on the cliff offering an exceptional panorama of the Pertuis d'Antioche and Les Minimes opposite. Note the presence of historic buildings from the 18ᵉ century: La Batterie and La Tour Carré. You'll also come across some blockhouses.
Ideal for families with children.
