On the borders of Berry and Touraine, Angles-sur-l'Anglin owes its name to the Saxon tribe of Angles that invaded England in the 5th century, as well as to the river that separates the upper and lower parts of the village. As for its reputation, it is its "days", magnificent handmade embroideries, which have made it for 150 years and, much further back in history, its Magdalenian sculpted frieze (15000 years old!) of the Roc aux Sorciers...
