Since 1810, the Lépine family has been making walnut oil: one of the oldest traditions, perpetuating over time an artisanal flavor like no other. The kernels are crushed and ground to a thick paste. This then passes into a frying pan, where it cooks until it turns brown. This is a delicate phase, as the art of obtaining a tasty oil depends on the cooking process. This molasses is then poured into the hydraulic press, from which flows this marvellous golden-coloured liquid. Walnut oil has excellent dietary value, thanks to its vitamin content and cholesterol-lowering fatty acids.
