The name "Château Haut Coteau" was created in 1908 by Jean Brousseau. From 1935 to 1988, Haut Coteau was vinified and marketed in a cooperative cellar. Since 1989, in order to preserve the family heritage, Arlette and Jean-Pierre Bousseau have formed the SCEA Château Haut Coteau. Since then, the vinification has been carried out on the property.
