La Chanteracoise - Biscottes et Biscuits

La Chanteracoise is considered to be the last traditional biscotti maker in France. Historically based in the heart of the Périgord Blanc region, in the small village of St Germain du Salembre, it produces a wide range of rusks, toasts and croutons, and has preserved the authentic know-how of the biscuit-makers of the 1950s. Its attention to the origin and quality of the raw materials used in the manufacture of its products contribute to its desire to be distributed exclusively in delicatessens, cooperative shops and organic shops.

Since 2015, La Chanteracoise has taken over the Billeau brothers' biscuit factory and expanded its range to include croquants and palets gourmands.

Moulin à papier de la Rouzique

On the left bank of the Dordogne, 20km from Bergerac, the Rouzique paper mill is located west of Couze-et-Saint-Front. Thanks to the river's regular flow, the quality of its water and its location, this village has been the cradle of paper-making in the South-West since the 15th century. The presence of the La Rouzique paper mill is attested as early as 1530. Now the Écono-musée du papier chiffon, it is still in operation.

In the company of the paper-maker and guides from the Au Fil du Temps association, immerse yourself in the world of rag paper. Your guide will tell you all about the history of paper, and explain why the paper mill developed here, between Couze and Dordogne. Visit the various buildings on the site, then discover how small pieces of fabric are transformed into sheets of paper. Every day in summer, make your own sheet and take it with you!

Alysse Bijoux - Marine Sébart

Trained as a jeweller, I combine precious metals (silver and gold) with natural materials such as wood, mother-of-pearl, stones..

The idea is to highlight natural resources by contrasting and combining materials, textures and colors.

All the jewels are designed and made in my workshop/shop in Périgueux, and according to artisanal jewellery techniques. That is to say that I start from a silver or gold ingot and that I shape it entirely, without any casting. Each piece is therefore unique. I also make jewellery from wood, stones..

It is also possible to make custom-made jewellery, such as wedding rings, medals etc

My idea is to enhance the quality and durability of the jewellery.

Atelier du verre soufflé - Nicolas Guittet

It is in Limeuil, one of the most beautiful villages in France, at the confluence of the Vézère and Dordogne rivers that the tradition of glass blowing has been perpetuated for 35 years.
You will be able to follow and admire the work and creations of Nicolas Guittet, a glass professional for over 30 years. After working with colour, Nicolas naturally turned to transparency. His works are the result of several techniques, the hot work executed without mould and the cold work allow him to obtain a successful piece.
Open every day (10am-1pm/14pm-7pm). Closed in January and February.
