1:30 climb from the dam Artouste (access by train), 3 hours from the Caillou Clogs (Pourtalet road) and about 1 day from shelters Pombie, Ayous, Migouélou, Larribet, Respumoso or Marcadau.
Possible ascents of peaks Arriel, Palas or Balaïtous and step on many high-walking routes (HRP Palas tower, tower Balaïtous ...)

The National Park is an exceptional natural territory. In the Ossau Valley, nearly 8000 ha constitute the heart of this preserved area.
In July and August, the park rangers offer a program of discovery of the park (fauna, flora, pastoralism) and meeting points on the ground for free discussions and to observe directly the birds of prey, marmots, isards....
Free visits of the House of the National Park of Laruns are possible during the opening hours: exhibition fauna, flora, life in altitude, projection of films.
A program of temporary exhibitions and conferences on nature, culture and heritage is organized during the summer.
Located in the Atlantic Pyrenees mountain range of the Béarn region in the heart of the Ossau Valley, this altitude refuge accessible only by hiking is located on the hike around the Pic du Midi d'Ossau in the Park national des Pyrénées. From 7 to 77 years, the Snake Gliss is an activity open to anyone who can practice the traditional sledding. The Green Mountain Farm is a farm of 19 hectares devoted to cattle farming - Blondes d'Aquitaine - and sheep - the Basque-Bearn sheep. Milk production is transformed on site: Christine makes and sells pure farm sheep cheese in the valley of Ossau and the greuil, feta and faisselle.

Hotel le Tremplin is a small family hotel located in the heart of the ski resort of Gourette, at the foot of the slopes, and the GR10 trail, on the road of the Col d'Aubisque.
It offers its completely redecorated rooms, some facing south with views of the slopes. A relaxation area is equipped with a spa and an exercise bike. To eat, you can enjoy the panoramic room or the sunny terrace facing the ski area, with traditional food, mountain and house. The hotel is open summer and winter.
This winter snowshoe treasure hunt takes place on the Bézou plateau.
There are 2 ways to get there: take the Bézou cable car, which operates in winter and July/August. Otherwise, the walk is accessible the rest of the year, for a sporty and well-informed public. The ascent to the plateau and return to the resort are via a ‘sports access’ (steep sections). This route can be done with children aged 7/8 and over, with a round trip distance of 6km (3h/4h). The Poï'z is called Zabdo. Remember to take breaks and hydrate regularly. You'll also need good walking shoes.
The Youth and Sport and National Education Chalet offers 32 sleeping accommodations in 6, 8 and 12 bed dormitories, hot showers and catering service on request. The Guardians , Emilie and Millan accompanying in the mountains, welcome you there.
This stage offers the discovery of the Soussouéou valley but is reserved for experienced hikers. In case of snow, take the variant via Laruns.
Its length often obliges to bivouac (in the rules!) in the middle towards the hut of Cezy.

Its capacity is 47 seats in small dormitories. The guardians of this place provide a catering service at lunchtime. For hikers who want to enjoy the sunset on the lake, half board or full board are available. It is an ideal setting for family hikes, and for school youth groups. Good ride.

This family home has been lovingly converted into a charming hotel complex by their owners, Francis and Marie-Pierre Gaye. Today, the hotel-restaurant offers a contemporary décor. With its 28 rooms labelled Logis (3 "cocottes" and 3 "fireplaces"), and its 5 huts ("Insolite By Logis"), this establishment is a safe bet as much for the quality of the reception and its rooms, as for its restaurant. The cuisine served showcases the local gastronomy.
The Restaurant Le Vieux Logis is ideally located at the foot of the Pyrenees, in an authentic and peaceful natural environment, between Nay in Béarn and Lourdes in Bigorre. From there, you are every close to the track of the way of Piedmont, one of the paths towards Santiago de Compostela and on the véloroute V 81 Pyrénées-Gave-Adour. Close to the famous Bétharram Grottos, Francis and Marie-Pierre Gaye's restaurant offers country cuisine highlighting local producers. From here, you are close to the passage of the voie du Piémont, one of the roads to Santiago de Compostela. The restaurant has also been awarded 3 "cocottes" in the Logis guide making it one of the region's essential restaurants.
