In the heart of nature, facing the orchid hillsides, this completely renovated old Charentaise farmhouse offers two guest rooms located on the first floor.

The church of Saint-Félix, located in the village, is a Romanesque church dating from the 12th century. It has many sculpted motifs on its façade (typical of the Charente region) and inside: geometric shapes, foliage, animals, characters, monsters, etc.
It used to belong to the former diocese of Saintes. During the Hundred Years' War, the church was damaged. Around the 19th century, work began to restore the walls of the nave and the bell tower.



The church of Saint-Félix has been classified as a "Monument Historique" since 1984. Its bell, dating from 1613, has also been classified as an object since 1944.

The freshwater pond 200 metres from the accommodation offers activities such as swimming, children's games, cycling, walking, picnics.

The parish church of Saint-Pierre de Passirac, built in the 11th century, was a former Benedictine priory. Its Romanesque architectural decoration gives it a unique character and style.
Arcades and colonnades, carved all around the building, brighten up the monument and remind us of the importance of the church at that time. The bell tower is not of the period. It was rebuilt in the late 16th and 19th centuries.

During your visit, you should not forget to admire the capitals of the dome and the choir with their unique carved decorations. A processional banner dedicated to "The Virgin and Child" (20th century) hanging in one of the transoms is also visible. Opposite it is possible to admire a painting entitled "The Deploration of Christ".

Not far from there is the fountain of Saint-Pierre de Passirac (which most likely gave its name to the church). Its water, reputedly miraculous, was used to cure boils. The source of this fountain once flowed inside the church of Saint-Pierre.

Old Charentaise house built from the 12th to the 18th century converted into 3 modular gites on a farm. This cottage for 8 people is labeled Tourism and Handicap (mental, hearing) and has many leisure facilities.

Games area (badminton, table tennis, etc.), 6x12 m swimming pool. with unsupervised counter-current swimming, protected by fence + roller shutter (open July to September), to be shared with the 2 other gites and the owner. In Brossac (6 km): swimming pond. Heating to be set on statement. Possibility to rent the 3 gîtes (i.e. capacity 18/20 people).

A last minute change in the weather? The village of Sainte-Souline offers a shelter and a picnic table for lunch. There is plenty of room for parking.
A parking lot is available free of charge in front of the town hall, as well as a tap to cool off during hot weather. Once you have found the sun, you can visit the Sainte-Souline church, located in the old town.

Romanesque church built in the 12th century. It suffered heavy losses during the Wars of Religion. It was redesigned in the 14th century, as well as in 1843 when the vaults of the nave were redone. The presbytery dates from 1668.

Le safran de Cornelius is a saffron producer located in the Charente, on the heights of the beautiful village of Montboyer. They produce and sell saffron pistils but also jams, chutney, vinegars and mustards.
Reception at our saffron plantation: discover the taste of organically, home made products. Saffron-flavoured chutneys, jams, mustards, vinegars, syrups, honey, salt and of course saffron.
