Residency exhibition with designer Mathilde Pellé
The Fondation d'entreprise Martell launches its new exhibition-residency format by inviting designer Mathilde Pellé.
For the "Chemin creux" exhibition, the designer wished to continue her "Subtract" research approach begun in 2016: by asking the inexhaustible question "why is there something rather than less?", Pellé invites us to rethink our relationship with matter and our ways of living and consuming, in reverse to the
the exponential growth of goods.
Extending her practice of curating everyday objects, she invites us to experience the ruin of domestic environments through subtraction. Questioning our obsession with accumulation, her radical approach aims to give rise to new forms and question our uses by revaluing the void.
