Standing on beautiful hills, Château La Maurigne represents 17 ha with 5 ha of vines and 2 ha of orchards that are currently under organic management.
The fauna and flora are preserved in order to maintain the exploitation with an organic balance. During the summer, you can find at least 10 varieties of wild orchids in the vines.
A relaxing Paddle on the river. Discover the pleasure of canoe trip following the life of the "Gabarier" river boatmen. Trips last 2-3 hours or an entire day. A state-licensed river guide will lead your trip and assure your safety in the boat. The guide will also offer a wealth of information about the valley's rich history and the abundant flora and fauna.
Each canoe can hold 15 adults.

Château Poulvère is a former dependency of the Château de Monbazillac. Built in the 16th century, its construction is contemporaneous with that of the Château. The Borderie family has been established at the Poulvère property since 1923 when Louis Borderie was appointed estate manager. Château Poulvère wine estate encompasses 104 hectares, with all of the vineyards carrying the AOC (appellation controled) label. The estate comprises 54 hectares of Monbazillac, 12 hectares of Pécharmant and 38 hectares of Bergerac. château Poulvère is proud to be one of the most substantial wine estates in the Bergerac region, a successful business that remains a dedicated family enterprise.
Château le Payral is a family property of which Thierry DAULHIAC is the youngest son. This the vineyard of 15 ha is situated about 20 km from Bergerac on the South of river Dordogne between vineyards of Monbazillac and vineyards of Ste Foy- Bordeaux. Grapes are produced without use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers. Since 2006, wines are organic. We have also been using principles of “biodynamie” in the Vineyard and in the cellar. Its soils are clayey and limestone grounds. Area is so parcelled out.
The Château of Miaudoux is a farm that Gérard and Nathalie Cuisset have owned since 1987. They started their production and commercialization of Bergerac wine (white, dry and sweet, rosé and red) and Saussignac representing 25ha, and also a production of Agen prune representing 8ha.
In 2003, they decided to go from farming to organic agriculture, certified by Ecocert.
In 2014, Samuel and Lisa, their son and his wife, have joined the exploitation and now it is also converted in biodynamics, certified by Demeter.
Hence, some young parcels are worked with a horse in order to have a contact with the wild world and to minimize the tillage impact.
Of course they are looking for the quality of their wines.

The idea to make our own wine range came because we want to create Bergerac terroir wines that wear our signature. The partnership developed with some wine makers allows us a rigorous selection of parcels of land. A vinification and ageing in our wineries ensure the quality of our wines.

Romain, a 30-year-old epicurean winemaker, decided to challenge himself in 2014: take over Château Haut Bernasse, a 14-ha property, and develop an organic agriculture. It has 11 ha of white (sémillon, muscadelle, white and grey sauvignon) and 3 ha of red (cabernet sauvignon, merlot and cabernet franc).
He grows these 35-year-old vines traditionally, with grassing and ploughed rows, for the purpose of making quality wines on this exceptional land.
Perched on a hill overlooking the Dordogne valley, Monbazillac Château is a must-see on the Bergerac wine trail. Property of Monbazillac cellar since 1960, this 16th century building has unique and original architecture, a mix of defence systems, with its allure and moats, and Renaissance style, with bay windows.
The path leading to the château gives you the best view of the building and its terraces with a wide panorama over a sea of vineyards. Furnished with Périgord furniture from the 17th century and Italian baroque furniture, visit the vaulted cellars of Monbazillac château which house a vineyard and wine museum.
