Enter the kingdom of comics: a collection unequalled in Europe, exhibitions, workshops, conferences, meeting authors… A visit to the Comics Museum and the Comics Bookshop located in historic wineries along the banks of the Charente River is a must!

4. Indulge in Duceau chocolates
One of the oldest shops in the city, listed as a Historical Monument, is a paradise of chocolate confectionery created by Jean Christophe Crosnier: a real local institution. The famous Marguerite is a must-taste!
5. A cruise along the Charente River

6. Stop off for a drink on one of Old Angoulême’s little squares
The cobblestone alleyways of Old Angoulême have a sort of Montmartre feeling to them. Stop off at Place des Halles or Place Francis Louvel, relax with a drink on a terrace and enjoy Angoulême’s gentle lifestyle.
