The charming village of Aubeterre-sur-Dronne, in the heart of Nouvelle-Aquitaine in southern Charente (16), is preparing to host the Pottery Festival during Heritage Days.
This event, organised by the ALBATERRA association since 2017, highlights the richness of ceramics with the participation of several exceptional ceramists.
Meet the Artisans: The Pottery Festival offers a unique opportunity to meet 38 talented ceramists from various backgrounds. Each will present their unique creations, ranging from functional pieces to works of art, offering visitors the opportunity to explore the diversity and creativity of their craftsmanship.
This year, 2025, also sees the installation in the village of a new permanent work by Azeline Tolmbay. Guest of honour Tinne Debruijne will present her unique work. There will also be a presentation of a forthcoming book featuring local ceramists.
Interactive activities: In addition to the exhibition, the festival offers interactive activities for all ages. Visitors will be able to immerse themselves in the ceramic creation process by participating in live demonstrations, hands-on workshops and discovering pottery throwing and firing. There will also be documentary films about ceramics and a photo exhibition.
Clay Trail in the village: Explore the picturesque streets of Aubeterre-sur-Dronne through the Clay Trail. Temporary art installations will be scattered throughout the village, creating an immersive experience that blends art with local architecture.
Enchanting concert on Saturday evening at 6.30pm: On Saturday evening, the festival will reach its climax with an enchanting concert. Immerse yourself in an evening of relaxation and entertainment, enlivened by the music of Louis and Alice, a journey around the world, creating a vibrant atmosphere in the heart of Aubeterre-sur-Dronne.

For this new edition of Heritage Days, the City of Tonneins with the support of its associations is offering a varied program to (re) discover our beautiful city and its history.

- Les Bouquinistes - Sale of books for the benefit of local works.
- Artists' exhibition.
Saturday September 18:
14:00 : storytelling walk.
18:00 : mass at Notre-Dame church.
Sunday September 19:
-7:00 : garage sale.
-8:30 : Antique Vehicles Expo and nature race of Trois Plateaux.
-12:00 : traditional meal and exhibition of Les Passionnés du lion at the Chapelle de Vénès.

Le festival Villages Sessions se déroule dans des villages de campagne. La soirée se déroule en 3 temps : 19h avec un apéritif dans une ambiance musicale offert par la commune, 20h le repas et 21h30 le concert.
