Valfontaine village is an innovative concept: in the heart of the Charente wine region, the association runs a shared educational garden and activities for all ages. A shared habitat for seniors and gîtes are currently being built.

Responding to the challenge of increasing life expectancy
In Valfontaine, seniors will continue to live in the countryside, on a site that is adapted, secure and open to nature. As actors in their daily lives, they will benefit from services and a social life in which they can become involved.
Their private flat, as well as the private garden of the Maison de Gabrielle, will ensure their tranquillity and preserve their privacy.
The challenge is both simple and ambitious: to live in the countryside while being surrounded!
Creating social links and services in rural areas:
The third place will respond to this strong challenge for rurality. It will be organised around different spaces: places for paramedical or well-being professionals, places to create and exchange during food or cultural activities (vegetable garden, park, kitchen, community café, etc.), and places fitted out for physical activities indoors or outdoors.
These spaces will be open to all: inhabitants of Valfontaine and the area, families and tourists.
Developing a tourist offer for family stays
In order to preserve family ties, the furnished tourist accommodation will allow people to spend time close to their elders, while remaining independent. During family stays, everyone, whatever their age and ability, will be able to take advantage of the activities offered on the site and discover the South Charente.
Valfontaine village will be a bridge between the generations for a successful and fulfilling transmission.
