A family beach for its safety, it is also a well-known spot for windsurfing.
Situated between the Montportail oyster-farming site and the Échappées Nature site in the Moëze nature reserve. Come and discover the wild nature of Saint-Froult beach, facing the magnificent Fort Boyard and the Ile d'Oléron.
A family beach for its safety (but not supervised), it is also a well-known spot for windsurfing.
With its shaded parking areas, the beach is laid out with wooden duckboards to allow easy access to the sand for people with reduced mobility (pushchairs, wheelchairs, etc.).
Dogs on leads are allowed on the beach. Owners of dogs not on a lead may be fined.
The Saint-Froult beach is located in a classified and regulated area:
- Disturbance of wildlife prohibited: no drones, kites, etc.
- Collecting shellfish, driftwood, sand, etc. is prohibited.
- Bivouacs, camping, camper vans, etc. and barbecues or fires are prohibited, including in the car park.
- Access to the dunes and dykes is prohibited (except for the Montportail dyke to the north).
- The southern part of Saint-Froult beach is an integral reserve: access by land or sea is prohibited, including for board sports (including windsurfing).
