This monumental 11th century church combines Roman and Gothic styles, its lack of architectural unity is all part of its charm. Viollet le Duc made a mould of the statuary of the 13th century Porte Royale (to the right of the North entrance) in order to restore the central portal of Notre Dame de Paris. The interior houses numerous treasures, including Spanish and Italian paintings and illuminations. In accordance with local tradition, the 15th century bell tower stands separate from the church, offering an impressive panoramic view of the city. Listed as UNESCO Wolrd Heritage site.
