About Hennessy’s Les Visites
Hennessy’s Les Visites welcome epicurean travellers year-round in Cognac, France, offering a range of guided and private tours to discover the secrets behind Hennessy’s time-honored craftsmanship
For more than 250 years, Maison Hennessy has been producing one-of-a-kind cognacs in the heart of its native Charente region in France. Created in 1765, the Hennessy brand was born of the vision of one man, Richard Hennessy, an Irish officer enlisted in Louis XV’s army who very quickly foresaw the extraordinary international commercial potential of Cognac’s eaux-de-vie and set up his own wine merchant business.
Hennessy is the unrivaled cognac market leader and one of the top high-end spirits brands in the world – offering excellence in every bottle, in more than 160 countries. A crown jewel of the Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy group (LMVH), Hennessy is a major contributor to French international trade and an ambassador of French art de vivre the world over.
Today, Hennessy’s Les Visites continue this tradition of hospitality and excellence, welcoming epicurean travellers year-round to its hometown of Cognac, a short 1h30 drive from Bordeaux and La Rochelle, 1h from the beautiful Charente beaches, and less than 3 hours away from Paris by train. Choose from a range of guided tours and multisensory experiences that suit every taste and budget; and discover some of the secrets behind the Maison’s time-honored craftsmanship and rituals, passed down from one generation to the next.
