Le spa Impérial Guerlain de l’Hôtel du Palais, à Biarritz – Pays Basque

The Spa Imperial at the Hôtel du Palais, a haven of peace looking out over the ocean

Since it opened in 2009 the Hôtel du Palais in Biarritz, listed as a Palace, has had ties with the house of Guerlain. But the love story between the two houses goes back much further. In 1853, Mr Guerlain created the Eau de Cologne Impériale specially developed for the Empress Eugénie, wife of Napoléon III.

Stressed, tired, feeling tense? The Spa impérial offers a range of treatments, from massages to fitness programmes. Rates are those of a palace, with a multitude of different formulas (day/night formulas), packs and memberships so you can really make the most of all the Spa Impérial has to offer (pool, hammam, sauna, gym...).

1 avenue de l’Impératrice, 64200 Biarritz,

The Blu Spa, in the north wing of the four-star hotel, offers a wide range of treatments, relaxation and massages in a warm and cosy setting. Good to know, it uses Thalgo products (expert in marine cosmetics) and is open seven days a week.

The Régina Biarritz Spa, so art déco

You'll find French luxury with a twist in this bijou Basque 5-star hotel and its charming spa.

After a relaxing steam bath, we are easily tempted by one of the "Signature" treatments of the Sothys brand, the HANAKASUMI™, a Japanese-inspired ritual.

Hidden away in this prestigious Belle Epoque style building, you can also personalise your ritual by choosing between three different textures and 6 sensory escapes.

What are you waiting for?!
