A video shows visitors how the fruit is cultivated over the season, and museum mascot Mam’zelle Prune invites families to take part in a fun-filled educational tour of the orchards. In summer, visitors can get lost in the jungle of corn, a treasure hunt which winds around the 1,500 m² of land. The museum spans several rooms: the first displays a reconstruction of an early 20th century drying room with its different oven and drying kilns, showing how prunes are dried; the second room shows how the prunes are prepared and packaged in a workshop displaying the original machines and tools, and the third and final room houses a rare collection of original packaging, documents and archives, as well as a collection of ceramics and yokes. A video rounds off the visit, showing how prunes are grown and marketed in the present day.
